Most people give Singapore a night between flights. Two days is the difference between an airport city and one of Asia's best-run capitals.
Heat dictates the shape of the day: indoors from noon to four, outdoors either side.
Day 1 — Civic district

Raffles SingaporeAll suites, all with butlers. The Long Bar is touristy and entirely worth one Sling.
19:00 · Eat
OdetteIn the National Gallery, eight minutes' walk away. Lunch is the value if dinner is full.
Day 2 — Marina Bay at dusk
16:30 · Nature
Gardens by the BayCloud Forest while it is hot, Supertree Grove for the 19:45 light show. The grove is free.
Know before you go
- — Everything is air-conditioned and the contrast is severe; carry a light layer.
- — The MRT is fast, spotless and cheaper than any taxi — eating and drinking on it is fined.
- — Rain arrives hard and leaves quickly; it is rarely worth cancelling a plan for.
